Using Android and iPhone devices, you can boost your points balance each week by sharing data from your Google account.

This is only the first version of the app, so we will be adding more data sources as we go so that you can earn even more πŸ™Œ.

Please note that while the Gener8 App is in its early stages, we are working hard to stabilise this feature. If your Google data share stops or does not complete the full journey, please contact [email protected] with a screenshot of the issue so that we can pass this information on to our mobile team πŸ“².

How to earn with My Google data

Google is already making money from your data, why can't you earn from it too?

When you use a Google service, every search, tap and website is tracked on a minute-by-minute basis. This data is sold on without a pretty penny going to you. Well, we think this should change ✊

The Gener8 app is here to give you the ability to earn from your Google data every week.

πŸ“² To get started, you'll need to connect to your Google account and sign in.

πŸ•΅οΈ Once you've signed in, we'll speak to Google and request from them all the data they hold on you.

πŸ” This is COMPLETELY anonymous. When you choose to request your data, it is saved locally to your device.

None of this data leaves your device until you give your express permission for it to do so πŸ‘Œ.

⏰ Your first request might take a little longer if Google holds a lot of data on you... set a reminder to come back in 10 minutes. Go make a cuppa πŸ«–

πŸ€‘ Once you're settled with a cuppa, and your data is ready to go, you can choose to share it with Gener8 in exchange for points to spend on rewards.

πŸ’‘ If you're using iOS, once you've chosen all or some of the data you'd like to earn from, you'll need to make sure that you select 'Allow' to give Gener8 permission to create value from your data.
