When you use the Gener8 Browser or Extension, you can choose between two modes:

If you use Privacy Mode on the Gener8 Browser/Extension, we do not collect your browsing history or usage data.<br>We also reduce tracking by blocking third-party cookies, adverts, and sending “do not track” signals to websites you visit.

When you browse the internet, many thousands of companies track your browsing data and the things you do to create a profile about you 🕵️‍♂️. They then sell your information to advertisers (as well as other companies) so that they can customise the adverts you see. Although it’s your data that is sold, they pass none of the financial benefits back to you. We don’t think that’s fair 🙅‍♀️.

In Rewards Mode, Gener8 changes this. With your consent, we create value from your data and then we make sure the value of your data is passed back to you, by crediting Gener8 Points to your account whilst you use Rewards Mode. You can then redeem your Gener8 Points for various rewards! 🎁.

In the Gener8 App, you may be able to enable specific features that allow you to earn Gener8 Points.

These features are always optional and require your permission. When enabled, selected data is used to help generate rewards for your account.

If you do not enable these features, we do not use your data for this purpose.

We are creating this value through the following simple steps:

Subject to consent and activation of rewards mode, we bring this information from users together into combined/aggregated data sets that we share with commercial partners.  

Our commercial partners, such as advertising agencies, financial institutions, and marketing companies, typically use the data to analyse market trends and gain insights into consumer behaviours. This helps to inform their marketing or investment strategies, and they do not target you directly as an individual.

We use the revenue we earn to fund rewards such as gift cards, charity donations, and free products.
